Fan Question #8: Sgt. Hell: I have a fan question for you ddog. I want to know where you came up with ddog35 and why you wanted to use it as your username for your website?

Sgt Hell, I have heard this question a lot recently, and since people are wondering, I’ll explain. For those who don’t know, my name is Johnathan. As you can tell, the first letter is not a D. So where did Ddog come from? Well, when I was younger, one of my younger sisters wasn’t able to say Johnathan when she was 2-3ish. Instead, she called me Dotsin. Because of that, my dad would call me Dotsin. Yep. For some kids growing up it’s ‘sport’, for some it’s ‘son’, but for me, it was Dotsin. As I got older, Dotsin morphed into D. (coming from my dad. By this time, my sister could say my name) He called me D occasionally and it kind of stuck. When I started this blog, there were two screen name ideas I had: either Ddog, which evolved from the whole Dotsin situation, or juckanin. (juhk-uh-nihn) Juckanin is very close to Johnathan, and it was a random nickname I got from my family that they still use. I still don’t know who came up with it. I decided that though Ddog wasn’t the most creative name, it would cause less confusion that Juckanin, which is very obscure. Now, the 35 at the end. The 35 doesn’t resemble my age, a lucky number, an athlete’s number, a winning lotto number, an address, a coordinate, or a birthday (I got you there
) It’s honestly just random. No wisdom there. I tried to get the username Ddog13, actually, but it was already taken. (I ask that you turn yourself in, sir, and give me my rightful name) So yep, that’s the story of Ddog 35! Because that’s my email name too, I get some strange looks when I give it out to people I know. They ask, why D? Hey, now I can refer them to this page. Thanks for asking, and I look forward to seeing you active across the blog. Anybody else who would like to ask a fan question, be my guest. I read all of the comments.

Fan Question #7: Morgan: I see how this works but how fast and up to date are the rates on ur movies?

Thank you for asking a question. One principle I follow is: Ratings are final. When I publish my reviews, the ratings are there right away. I never change them. I think long and hard about the ratings I give, because I could be influencing somebody’s decision, and I don’t want to incorrectly sway somebody. I tweak reviews for grammatical errors sometimes, but the ratings are always the same, so they are, technically, up to date. The rating is always added with the review, so I don’t publish my reviews without a grade for it. Thank you for asking, and I hope to see you around gamerscene.

Fan Question #6: Sgt hell: Were you ever married?

Sgt. Hell, the last question you asked me was actually a good one. Why did you decide to ask, of all questions, this one? I apologize if what follows sounds like a Rage Segment, but this question is too irrelevant to even take seriously. I have never been married, obviously. What kind of brainless question is that? Sgt.Hell, the amount of support you’ve given me really means a lot, but this question is totally random. If you’re trying to seek attention, it worked, because now, I have your great question displayed right here, but I’m sure that my viewers will think twice about leaving a hard-headed question for me to answer. Thank you for submitting this delightful question and I hope you have a great day. Please, don’t hesitate to leave another question down below for me. Thanks for submitting, and keep checking back for more news and reviews. What do you other viewers want to hear? What do you think of this insightful comment? Comment to let me know.

Fan Question #5: Sgt hell: Were you a fan of the show Jersey Shore?

Sgt Hell, I am in no way a fan of the show Jersey Shore. Being from Jersey myself, it shocks me that some New Jersians actually watch that trash. It gives us a horrible reputation, and it’s embarrassing that it represents the state. The first questions I get when Californians find out I’m from Jersey are: Do you spray tan, do you know Snookie, and do you drink. The answer to all three of those preposterous questions is no. This show is horrible. All it does is show drama, drinking, and partying. These are modern role models. I want to know why people watch this show, and I want a reason besides, “It’s entertaining.” There are a hundred other things on television somebody can watch, and Jersey Show is one of the worst things on television. So, Sgt Hell, no, I am not, nor have I ever been, a fan on Jersey Shore. Thanks for commenting. If anybody has another Fan Question, feel free to ask. And, let me know, do you like Jersey Shore? I want to hear what you viewers have to say. Until next time

Fan Question #4: Plato: David Brinkley, a wise and perspicacious man once stated, “A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him. So I’m going to throw you this Question (brick) I was analyzing your site and was stuck presuming on the perplex foundation your website is based off of. It would be an honor if you would reveal your principles for us to consider.
Plato, you have given me a question that I would love to answer in depth for you, as well as my other viewers. You see, the pillars that hold up our society, the foundations of our society, is order. Just like the grand pillars hold up the weight of the Parthenon, I have pillars, or, literally speaking, rules and guidelines I like to follow when running this site. If I didn’t have rules and organization, this blog would turn out a sloppy mess. Here is my collection of mission statements and commandments that I abide by.
We, the People, of Gamerscene.wordpress.com, in order to form a more perfect Website, establish Variation, insure domestic Awesomeness, provide for the common Viewer, promote the general Film and Gaming Industries, and secure the Reviews and Rage Segments to ourselves and our Families and Friends, do ordain and establish these Commandments for Gamerscene.wordpress.com.
1. Thou shall not dare post spoilers for the general public to gaze upon. Spoilers suck. If spoilers are given, the public will know who dies in the movie-I got you there. On a more serious note, spoilers ruin thy movies and thy video games, and so nobody reading thou content on this blog shall feel a pit in their stomach while worrying about stumbling upon a spoiler.
2. Thou blog shalln’t sleep. It must be updated every week, or else people will riot. A blog with no activity is like Batman without his cape. Without his cape, he would fall down to the streets of Gotham, grumbling the whole way down, opposed to soaring over it. In other words, this blog would become useless.
3. Thou shall have ears open to the People. Requests shall be heard and respected. Other opinions shall be heard, and requests from thy People will be regarded by a council of owl, herring, and fox.
4. Thou shall not steal words from a mouth which is not his. Plagiarism isn’t cool, and shalln’t be embraced. Thy claiming to have talked of a mustard seed as Jesus did will be carried off into a nice, cozy hole, deep underground in thy land.
5. Thou shall not murder Reviews. All ratings are final. Just like Jesus said not to murder thy fellow human after Cain killed Abel with a stone by striking thy head, though shall not change Meat Scale Ratings.
6. Thou shall communicate with thy People. Emails will be sent out as soon as updates have been put forth. If Jesus kept his holy principles within the circle of him and his twelve disciples, nobody would learn of these principles. Communication is vital to thy blog.
7. Thou shalln’t post crappy content to thy pages. All games and videos must be viewed and approved before being placed on thy Gamerscene. Mediocre and unsatisfactory content will be banned, and all things placed on thy site shall be as if fit for a king.
8. Thou shalln’t “go with the flow.” All opinions illustrated in Reviews must be thy own. Just because thy fellow neighbor is Jewish, it does not mean that thy faith will instantly change to what they believe.
9. Thou shall be unbiased, or burning will commence. If thy does not like things such as “cowboys” and “country,” thou cannot instantly deem those things unworthy of Filet. Being unbiased when it comes to the reviewing of thy movies is crucial.
10. Thou shall always put thy Viewer’s wants before thy own. Thy People’s will is most important.
I hope you enjoyed the Ten Commandments of Gamerscene. These are the principles I follow when it comes to this blog. Do you think I’m doing a good job? Let me know in the comments. Most important for you to know is that this site is about YOU. I’m the one posting, but you’ve got the key. Your comments and recommendations are what influence the site. It’s all about you, the People.

Fan Question #3: shrederdude63: What was your first day of school in California like?

Before I start, let me clarify for the people who don’t know me that well: I was born and raised in New Jersey, and I moved to California in 2010. Shrederdude, let me try to paint a picture for you. You walk onto campus (yes, here, it’s a campus, not just a building) and you see a bunch of Asians. Yes, Asians. There are a ton of Asians at my school. It was awkward at first, considering the fact that I hadn’t really interacted with any Asians before then, but I had to get used to it, or else I’d be miserable. So, I went through the day, noticing not only that all of these Californians had a glazed tan from the summer, but that everyone and everything here is laid back. Teachers can come to school in a T-shirt and jeans, the kids are soft, (not all, most) and they think of New Jersians based on Jersey Shore. This amuses me. I simply throw some California stereotypes right back, and my status is cleared. Now, I have plenty of friends, and school is great. The Asians have welcomed me well. Thank you for submitting once again, and feel free to submit some more. Until next time…

Fan Question #2: Joe g: im sorry its soo gay but i couldn’t think of anything else (concerning his question about if I was team Edward or Team Jacob, which I answered: Team No) I have a question who is your least favorite football team?

Joe, to be honest with you, I don’t have a least favorite football team. I mean, there are a lot of teams out there that I can hate on. I can say that the Raiders have 5 fans and just be done with it, but I don’t dislike them. I do dislike the Giants, but I don’t consider them my LEAST favorite for a deeper reason…there are teams that irk me more. Here comes Shrederdude…the Steelers really bother me. So many Steelers fans are so full of pride and passion that everything they say is just fan ranting. The towel! What the hell is with the towel? The Terrible Towel! Oooh God! That guy from the Titans or Ravens or something stepped on the towel, which is why they lost the game! It’s football, not a game of voodoo symbolism magic. Now, Shrederdue, before you attack me on this, I’m not saying they’re bad. They’re a strong team. But the fact that they come back at the last second isn’t even exciting anymore considering that you KNOW they’ll come back! They’re so unpredictable that they’re predictable! Joe, if I HAD to choose a least favorite team, I wouldn’t say the Steelers. They’re not a technical least favorite, just one that really, really bothers me. Here’s a video that proves my point as to how silly the towel issue is. Skip to :56
Thank you for submitting your question.

Fan Question #1: Shrederdude63: Here’s my question(s): shrederdude 63- how did you first meet him, what your initial thoughts on him were, did it change overtime, and how you finally realized that he was just plain cool and…deserves to be on the list on this page…?

I find that fact that this is my first question somewhat surprising, but then I realized that it’s shrederdude asking, so I’m not so surprised. Here it goes….I met shrederdude in New Jersey. He was in my PE class, and I remembered him for one thing, and one thing only. When he was a warm-up leader, he yelled…no, SHOUTED…the warm -ups. His voice was amplified by the grand gym, and so I thought, ‘This is guy is weird.’ But then I got to know him. He was oddly passionate about football, and he delivered speeches like his life depended on it. So then I thought, he’s not so bad. Once he had a dramatic death in Social Studies class after I pretended to stab him, that’s when I realized he was plain cool, it a different way. And he’s not on the list on this page. He twists my words. Over all, I believe that shrederdude truly is a public speaker, and I appreciate his constant comments and support for this blog. Don’t forget to submit your question for me to answer next week in the comments below.
