Movie Monday: Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Night at the Museum 3, Side Effects

Movie Monday is here. I have some news. Let’s do this.

It has been confirmed that Harrison Ford is going to be returning as Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars movie. He embodied and defined Han Solo, so I could see the difficulty in replacing him, but I hope that the movie doesn’t rely on nostalgia to succeed. What do you think about this decision? Was it smart or will it spell death for Episode 7?

See, Ford always wanted Solo to be killed off. Maybe Abrams will make Ford’s wish come true. If that happened, then it would be a smart way to kick off the new movies and say, “We’re not running on nostalgia, we’re carrying on and starting a new story.”

Night at the Museum 3 is going to be released on Christmas Day in 2014. Personally, I enjoyed the first, but the second didn’t work. It’s too early to judge the quality of the 3rd film, obviously, but it’s not one that I’m particularly excited for.

This weekend, my parents went to see Side Effects.

They both rated it as being a T-Bone, and they agree that it’s worth a watch. Just thought I’d let you know in case you were debating seeing the film!

That’s about it for this week! What do you think about Ford reprising his role? Let me know in the comments below and have a great Monday!
